I just started using Mozilla Mail 1.4 and it has built in junk mail controls. Works well in other ways also.

Thunderbird for the same reasons as Mozilla Mail posted above. But until full functionality (i.e. open links in browser), I use Kmail.

Personlly I like the Mozilla mail client over any of the others. I just started to try thunderbird since it was mozilla's stand-alone client. It's good but the themes that I got from their website aren't as nice as what I have going for Mozilla. Overall, these two would be my top choices.

Am I the only slacker that uses the default cli client that comes default w/ the distro (exim --debian). Hmm, It's probably time I added a more full feature mail client huh? I'll make a note of it:

echo "quick note: apt-get a more full featured mail client" | mail 0x12d3 -s"get new mail client"

...there.

'Outlook Express|less|' of course. :)

Actually it was Sylpheed untill KMail released version 3 that supported 'smtp-auth' and then I switched back to KMail as it does all I need and the filters seem to work quite good.

Of course that is MY OPINION and shouldn't be taken by anyone else.

So try as many as you can and then decide which is best for you.

Thunderbird, because I dual-boot and I can use the same mail folder under both OSes and the same installation under several Linux distributions. This also works with MozMail, obviously, except for the "single installation" part.

Mail filters transfer as well (because they live in the common mail folder), so I can add a filter under any distribution or OS and have it in all others, not to mention that all my mail is always correctly threaded, because it's all the same mail, so it doesn't matter where I'm booted into when I download it.
