Are you needing help getting your modem to work? Or does the modem connect but Mozilla/Konqueror still not work?

Post back please.

 :D :D

If I were you, I would try installing KDE since it sounds like you just recently transfered from windows to linux, kde will easily help you get on the internet, install kpp and try using that, once you install kpp and setup your modem, restart, don't open kpp until the restart is complete, then open kpp once you return and put in your phone number in the options, then try connecting, thats how I had to do it, so give it a shot. If you have any problems with that or already tried that, then post what you've done so far and we'll get to the bottom of it.
