My sound card came with my HP computer and (surprise) isn't supported. I'd love to find an inexpensive card someone might have lying around.
I just need something PCI and decent quality and Linux compatible. Cheap would be nice, if there wasn't a workable trade.

There are quite a few cards that are supported under Linux. Are you sure yours isn't? What's the chipset on it?
Personally, I'd try to find a sound card using the ES1371 chipset. They're well supported, the sound is cheap, and I'd be willing to bet that you could find one for under $10, used, with shipping. They're not bad cards, and they've got decent quality. I think they were made by Ensoniq...

Thanks, all! I think I've found a card I already had, so I'm going to play around with it and the one I have installed and see if one of them will work for me.
