I've searched far and low before registering for this forum to post this question. I've found close answers but still have yet to get this to work.
The situation:
I have a compaq laptop in which the CD ROM does not work on it any longer. I have a usb CD Rom that I managed to get MDK 9.1 on there by making a boot diskette that would recognize the usb CD ROM off the floppy image I made. The issue is I do not want to use MDK as RH 9 runs much better on my laptop.
First I cannot find a disk img for RH 9 that supports usb cd-rom support on floppy boot up. I have another box on the network running windows that I have set up drive d: as a share with the RH 9 disk 1 inserted it and have mounted it on my laptop using LinNeighborhood. Is there a way I can start the install from my Laptop while running MDK and having the Windows Share with the RH 9 CD in there?
Any ideas or way around this would be super helpful to me.
