Beecrypt understanding

Can anyone help me understand how the beecrypt lib workds on linux?I just a newbie when it come to crypt things like my hardrive.:confused:

in the developmental kernel, there are things to help do local loopback through an encryption of a partition.

I dunno if its available in the current stable kernel unless there are patchsets available.

I just try to learn Cryptography.If any one has any links for beecrypt i be help to learn more about it.
