Problems "Bringing eth0 up"

i recently installed gentoo linux. After rebooting for the first time it saysing



Bringing eth0 up........

ERROR : Problem starting needed services
"netmount" was not started







Has any one got any ideas how to solve this problem, because i cant go any further with the system set up untill i get a net connection. Thanks for any help :)
