apache not writing to logs

hi everyone,

My apache process does not write the log messages to my error_log & access_log files. It was working fine until May 7th. Thats the last entry date in my log files. I am using that box as a web server using dyndns.org for the domain name.

I have'nt changed the configuration settings for apache but it does'nt write to the log files at all.

any pointers for locations to look for clues will be really helpful

Apache still works but logging doesn't work, is it?

Maybe you could try the good old fashioned restart :) and at the same time check, in httpd.conf, if Apache has some limit on log size.

i have restarted apache many times .. but have'nt restarted the box in a few months. i have checked httpd.conf and there is no limit set for the log files.

Make sure the permissions haven't changed for some reason
