I]I have a question l[/I]

I just installed Linux on my gateway desktop computer, and i have a modem that i would like to use to dail up with to gain internet access, but i can't linux to gain internet access.

I wanted to know which step must i take to configure the internet connection wizard to create a dial up connection.

I know my Primary and secondary ip address, and i have the log name and password ready.

The help is really appreciated, thanks to all who reply

Well i have Linux Red HaT 8.1 build i386

the modem on my computer is a 9v PCI Modem SF

Is that a software modem (aka winmodem)?

If so, see if www.linmodems.org has any drivers you can download and install.
