Transfer Evolution settings to new computer

I have been using Ximian Evolution on a desktop computer for a while, and want to transfer my filters and folders (but not the contents of the folders) to a laptop for an upcoming trip.

It seems that I should be able to copy some files from the /home/personal/Evolution directory over to the new computer, but I can't figure out which ones. I've googled, read the manual, and searched these forums.

I'm running RH9 on the desktop and RH8 on the laptop, with Evolution 1.4 on both.

the only way i've ever been able to is to copy the entire ~/evolution directory. you would also get the contents of the folders.

I agree. On the new machine you can delete what you don't want.
