Installing wavecom wmod2 modem on rhl9

Hi everyone. I'm a linux newbie and need help on how to install a wavecom wmod2 modem (or any hardware for that matter) on the system. Can anyone please help me?

sorry too say that, but i was in a similar situation as yourself, I have RH9.0
I tried an enormous amount of scenarios buying installing several various modems all to no avail due too the fact that 96% of modems are win modems. So I went to my Prof in one of my Computer Science labs, and he said with Linux the best way is a external modem>> Linux OS are really not well suited for the modem world but in time they will be>>
