When I use iwconfig and /sbin/dhcpd to try and connect to my colleges wireless, it works, and they give me an ip in the correct range (130.127...), but I still can't get to the internet. Now before our network is supposed to let a computer use the internet, the computer has to register, then reboot. But if the computer isn't registered, then it should get a 172. something ip. Now I am working fine with wired lan, but can't get to the internet through wireless.

I know this might be kind of hard for someone to be able to do since they aren't here, but any help would be appreciated.

Im running mandrake 9.0.

It sounds as if you have a proxy access to the internet. Can you run a desktop that has access and see what the proxy settings should be? If nothing else, look in Internet Explorer under internet connections, in the LAN section and see if proxy settings are required.
