Damn Small Linux: how to get numlock to turn on & how to make boot disk

I managed to install Damn Small Linux but have the following problems:-

- how do I get numlock to come on in X
- how to make a bootdisk

My boot disk gives a kernel panic error and refuse to boot. However booting from HD is ok.

How did you go about making the bootdisk? Did you use something like the mkbootdisk command, or did you put LILO and a kernel on there yourself?
Perhaps the Damn Small Linux kernel isn't appropriate for floppies, and you'll have to recompile one.

For the problem with Numlock, perhaps NumlockX (look on a G4L search) would help.

I use dd to make the bookdisk. mkboot does not seem to work.

Could not get to the numlockX site. Maybe its sobig. Will try later.

Also need to find out how to prevent starting as root.
