I want to set up the RSA keys with ssh.

I did ssh-keygen -t rsa on the client box.

i copied the key to the user's home dir on the box that will be acting as the server.

when i: ssh host

I get the following error: Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive).

Obviously I am missing something.

I see that there are also host keys in /etc/ssh. Do i need to copy those anywhere?

Here is the sshd_config file from the box that is running sshd. I haven't touched this file yet.

# $OpenBSD: sshd_config,v 1.59 2002/09/25 11:17:16 markus Exp $

# This is the sshd server system-wide configuration file. See
# sshd_config(5) for more information.

# This sshd was compiled with PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

# The strategy used for options in the default sshd_config shipped with
# OpenSSH is to specify options with their default value where
# possible, but leave them commented. Uncommented options change a
# default value.

Sorry Dale as I would like to help, but that is not a subject I know much about and all I would be able to do is suggest G4L. :(

Anyone else?
