Well after much research and suggestions, I have got my first Linux OS. I got Mandrake Linux [Mandrake Linux 9.1 Powerpack Personal Linux Solutions]. I chose Mandrake cause it seemed to be one of the easiest ones to install and for beginners. I have not installed it yet cause still trying to figure out where I want to put it. I believe I may also getting another Linux OS in the mail. [Parents don't always remember what they buy for me] I believe its VectorLinux. I plan to put that on my very old Pentium 1 system. Wish me uck as I venture into this new world! :D

I wish you the very best. Along the way, don't be afraid to ask for help, but make sure that you've done due diligence to find the answer first. I'm definately a ways from guru status, but I'd be more than happy to lend a hand if I can.

Have fun! :)
(IMHO vector is easier to set up than mandrake:D)
Have fun, and make sure you have the latest VectorLinux, not the SOHO edition, because the SOHO edition is for slightly faster systems.
And don't forget: Nobody can say no to that penguin:D

Don't forget to set the BIOS of your motherboards to non pnp os.
Linux identifies your devices much better with the bios set this way and it won't harm you MS OS install.

Well, My current system has a 40GB and a 160 GB HD. I plan to install PowerQuest's Partition Magic 8.0 on one of them. It comes with a feature to install an OS. I will delve into it more when I install it later today or tomorrow.
