cant install RH 9 on hp pavilion ze 4427 notebook

it freezes at the screen where it asks you if u wanna test your cd set. i cant move the cursor to select "SKIP"

Does your mouse work in the rest of the install?
Is it USB, PS/2 or an inbuilt laptop one?
