Hey everyone. I recently re-partitioned my hard drive, but before I did I was keen to make a backup (particularly of my /home/devsforev directory.) Upon having a working system again, I put my .fluxbox folder back in my home directory. (I don't know if any of this has any significance at all, but I'm writing it anyway because I did not have this problem before my format.)

When I select a style setting from fluxbox's menu, it will revert back to the default when I reboot (or restart X). How do I prevent this from happening? Thanks a lot!

i have found that just rebooting, or restarting X without letting the programs to close themselves often doesn't allow them to save. Try using the exit menu in fluxbox's right-click menu.

Bahhhhh; i find my self solving a lot of my problems that I post on this board by myself (not saying it's a bad thing.) Thanks for you're quick replies, but I neglected something so basic, I should be exiled from the linux world.....

When I un-tared my backup home directory, I was the root user, so It set all subdirectories for ownership as the root. A simple chown command cleared everything up.

Sorry to waste you're time, but I appricaite the help none the less. Thanks a lot!!
