when not switching, everything is OK.
when using another window manager (e.g. WindowManager) and switching while it is loading, everything is also OK.

I have slackware 9.0 kernel 2.4.21
KDE 3.1.3 qt 3.2.0
celeron 1.8 MGz processor and i845G motherboard with integrated video and audio.

Help please.

i think kde just takes a realllllllllly long time to load
and you shouldn't switch to another terminal till it's done.
it's just like when you go swithing desktops after you call
applications.
they follow you and don't stay put where you started them
