I have been reading up on this distro and decided I would give it a try. It has a really good feel to it and the install is very very easy to follow. And that is saying something for me, since I am THE newbie of all newbies! :o
Anyways, I am really anxious to get into this distro and check it out. However, I have run into a little snag. Once the install is over and I do the initial boot up, it takes me to x-server where I enter my user name and password and choose KDE or Gnome etc, and I cannot log in because my keyboard will not work.
I have tried different keyboards. Now, if I boot into safe settings and login as root, the keyboard works. It works all the way up to x-server. So, anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this little problem? Or, is there a way to bypass x-server altogether and choose KDE or Gnome at a usr prompt?
I appreciate anyone willing to take a shot at helping me. I have good feelings about this distro and really want to solve this problem.
Thanks!
