Hayl 08-13-2003, 04:39 PM <sounds like a rant. off to /dev/random> glussier 08-13-2003, 04:46 PM On my setup, I have no problem with Mandrake 9.1 and a usb keyboard. Can the problem be 18" away from the monitor? ricstr 08-13-2003, 04:49 PM Is the legacy USB device option enbabled in your BIOS? psi42 08-13-2003, 04:52 PM Well, I hate to say it, but if I remember correctly, my usb keyboard did not work in the mandrake 9.1 gui install either...although my usb mouse did. But it's not that big of a deal, really. (I mean it is, but not relative to everything else.) Most of the install is mouse-only, except the root password, which can be set later. Mandrake has bigger bugs to squash :) ~psi42 o0zi 08-14-2003, 01:49 AM My USB mouse and keyboard were unresponsive during the install, so I tried the "noauto" option I think, or something that let me pick my keyboard or mouse. Press F2 at the installation startup screen for more options. Kaligraphic 08-15-2003, 03:37 AM Press F2 on... the USB keyboard? The one that isn't recognised? Kind of reminds me of Windows' old 'Keyboard not found - press F1 to continue" error... psi42 08-15-2003, 03:43 AM Originally posted by Kaligraphic Press F2 on... the USB keyboard? Not in this case because the keyboard works at the boot screen, just not after the kernel loads. Kind of illogical, but... ;) justlinux.com
