I have an Athlon Thunderbird and I want to try out Suse linux. The problem is, should I download the i386 version or the noarch version? I wouldn't think that i'd download i386 because I have an i686. Also, is there a i686 version available?

Thanks

I would take the i686.

The i386 version means it will work for 386es and above, and the noarch should work on practically everything (noarch = no architecture).
If there's an i686 version, it will run slightly faster, because it will take advantage of features in your processor that 386es don't have.
