Can't access apache server

I have set up an apache webserver on an RH 7 box. (192.168.1.101 -dhcp set). The loopback check of the server displays the default Apache index.html file :). However, when I access the webserver from another box on the same network (192.168.1.104) as http://192.168.1.101 or http://shrike (the system name), the server cant be found. :(

Is your network ok? Try pinging from both sides.

Also, are you running any firewall?

I can ping the linuxbox and it can ping any other computer on the local network, with no packet loss. (all systems are 192.168.1.x: 255.255.255.0 dhcp set by the gateway). The gateway has a firewall (its just a linksys router gateway) that is not in between the computers in question.
