If I click the "Home" icon in KDE, a window with a split directory tree opens. I can remove the split by right clicking and selecting the "remove view" option, but how do I remove the split permanently, i.e where can I find the menu that controls this behavior?

Thanks,

emus

its in one of the menus - look for a place where it lets you save the view or something like that. sorry - i'm not being specific but it's been over a year since i touched KDE.

Thanks for the reply Hayl,

There is an option under "Settings" that allows you to save the view profile. Another options allows for loading other view profiles.
One thing that strikes me as odd though, is that I have to manually edit the properties of the "Home" icon in order to launch the desired profile. I wonder if there is another menu that controls the whole process and automatically does the necessary changes.

Maybe someone else knows.
