Have Redhat 9.0 with kde desktop. have installed new
updates. When I go to the window that shows updates
it says I have to go to command line and type in some
commands to install updates. I cant find a command line anywhere in kde. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I don't use kde but i think there is a kshell (kde shell version) or similar. Look for xterm also.

Look for anything with the name shell, that should open a shell prompt

when RH talks about the command line they are referring to a konsole/terminal window. to get to that in RH 9 & kde go to your kicker menu then to system tools then select the terminal program (konsole ):D

Also in the KDE Menu under System and Utilities you should find all sorts of terminal/console programs you can use.
