I haven't heard of anyone successully getting tinyX to work... Until now! Basically, all you do is during the configuration when it prints out the settings for the different depth modes (8bpp, 16bpp, etc.) and asks you if you'd like to change them, you'll notice that the first set, 8bpp is not in quotations. To fix this, just change the settings in the config when it asks if you want to... i.e. now. Then choose the best setting, the same setting, does't matter, and it will fix it and put it into quotes, fixing the problem. If it's not working for you, just send me a message. I'll help you out.
