setting up new server

aloo fella..i'm really need y'll to help me in this matter...i'm a rookie in this linux thing..so i need help on setting up the server...for the info ..i have installed linux mandrake 8.2 to pentium 111 pc...so pls help me give some advce and referrence to guide me to solve that problem

Can you give us more information?

What kind of server you want to set up? web-server, ftp? whatever.

first thing to fix, is upgrade to mandrake 9.0 or 9.1
then post what server you need to setup and after searching the forums and reading the webserver and ftp howtos post back with any problems
