I have recently noticed that there are a lot of people posting that they are running Gentoo "Version 1.<number here>". I think that there is some confusion as to how versioning works in Gentoo.
Just so everyone is on the same page here; the Gentoo versioning is ONLY relevant to the install CD. Therefore, if you installed with 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, whatever, and you emerge sync && emerge -u world regularly, you are all running the same latest Gentoo. This means you never have to reinstall Gentoo to have the latest and greatest version of all your software :)
