While entering pppd command in cosole via root users, I used to get some sort of garbazed message in RH 7 but I am not getting any such garbazed message in RH 8 when running by root user. Is it normal in RH 8?

I guess it would depend on what the 'garbazed message' is.
Have you tried Redhat's own bugzilla to see if this is a known problem?
