I've searched and searched, found some answers, not specific to what I needed.
I am the only user using Linux as a workstation at work and would like to know if it's possible for me to join the NT domain at work. I just helped install a Samba on another Linux machine which is being used as a "Linux test lab" to see how well it plays. For that machine, it has joined the domain, people can access it, but it's running as a samba server.
Anyway...
On my laptop I have the Samba client (not ther server) installed and can do this from the command line
smbclient //192.168.0.51/jvilla -U COMPANYDOMAIN/jvilla
and everything is fine. I would just like to be able to use something similar to Network Neighborhood (such as LinNeighborhood or something) to view the other shares on the company's NT domain.
Is this possible...
