The other day I got off the phone with one of my roomates moving in next month and it hit me... college starts up on Aug. 15th! My last and final year in college before I'm thrown out into the real world to begin making $$$ ... or living in my parent's basement back home and working at the General Mills Plant for $7.50/hr.

Unfortunately, I know going through the campus career crap wont do much for me... I've tried the past 4 years to obtain an internship through the Campus Career office and I've attended every career fair they had... I never ever heard back from any of the businesses (not that many of them were really offering a promising career in computer science). Obviously, sitting around here isn't going to do much other than get me a job maybe at the local ISP interning under a 20 year old who just got his certs (good way to tell me I wasted 5 years of my life).

So, I figured the best thing to do would be to attend career fairs all across the country this year in a desperate attempt to find an entry level position where my skills will not only be put to use, but where I can also be challanged enough to improve my programming skills and at the same time make enough to pay ffor grad school courses.

Any ideas on some good websites to check that post career fairs, or even where some good places would be to make contacts? I'm graduating with B.S. degree in Computer Science and I'm planning to go for a masters degree, and I'm really hoping to find a job that will have me spending all day coding in C/C++. :D

If you're desperate (and most entry level IT people are..) apply at UPS, FedEx, or some other huge corporation and tell them you're willing to move anywhere.. ;)

World wide corporation.. Bound to be an opening somewhere.

Some computer-related job site linkage:

Also, don't forget about the employment agencies in your area; depending on your location, you may find some which specialize in technical fields like IT.
