Just noticed Webdesk posted on freshmeat.net
I haven't tried it, but thought it looked interesting for those that miss Active Desktop. ;)

did any ever actually use active desktop?
<added by mdwatts>
No I didn't as I always disabled active desktop if and when I do use Windows.
Never heard about ".dmg files", how to you run apps with that extension?

active desktop creates roughly another 30-45 seconds in your boot up time.... thats even on most high end systems

Serz:
.dmg = disk image. Mac specific, you just dclick and it "mounts" a virtual drive.
Active Desktop? You mean active crap! That thing crashed more that a DC-10 :rolleyes:
