I've just finished assembling a new pc using the MSI 875P Neo-FIS2R motherboard, 1GB Dual Channel DDR 400 memory, hyperthreading enabled and an MSI FX5200 128MB DDR video card (nVIDIA GeFORCE FX5200 chipset).

I have RH 9 and SuSE 8.2 Professional - will likely install SuSE. My question is does either flavour fully support the 875P chipset and does Linux support hyperhtreading?

Thanks

Check around www.kernel.org to see if the kernels support the 875P. You are likely using the 2.4.20 or 2.4.21 kernel.
