Check Redhat's online installation guide as you should be able to do all the partitioning during the install. Usually you have to select 'Expert Mode'.
Partition Image (http://www.partimage.org/) is free

I'm not too sure if the partitioning tools included with Redhat 9 supports XP's ntfs or not.
I have read in a recent thread here that Mandrake 9.1's cfdisk does resize XP's ntfs.
You could download the first Mandrake 9.1 iso image, burn to cd, boot with that and use cfdisk to resize.

Do you have a cd burner and a fast connection so you can download the first Mandrake iso image?
You could check Mandrake's ftp servers to see if they have a bootdisk image that contains cfdisk.

i'll have to look at that, but i think i'll wate untill i conferm the red hat doesent work with NTFS, the last thing i want to do is go to all the truble of geting Mandrake just to find out all i needed was to use the red hat CDs in the firest place;)
