Ok, I posted yesterday because i had problems with my new compiled kernel, but i would like to start over with some instruction from others to make sure im doing it right.

I have the kernel-image-2.4.21_10.00.Custom.i386.deb and i have done dpkg -i kernel-image and its asking me if i want to install a boot block. I dont know what to put here, but i know that i boot into windows, and another kernel and do not want those to be conflicted with. With that said, do i configure my lilo.conf? or If i install a boot block does it do it for me? If it doesnt what do i put in my lilo.conf? I have read how to compile/install debian kernel and i understood most of it, i just want to make sure that i have this right.

Here are my

lilo (http://64.132.236.158/config/lilo.conf) and my .config for kernel (http://64.132.236.158/config/config)

I appreciate the help! Thanks

i hit the defaults for all those questions, and then manually edit and run lilo, and then reboot.
