ok after reading and learning how Linux accesses FTP

now I want to get or mget the file and or folder
ftp> get filename
ftp>
it just returns,,,, now did it upload to me and where

day two on linux

It downloads to your home directory.

help should give you a list of commands. lcd will change the local directory that you are download to/uploading from, so if you do lcd /home/joebloggs/myftpdownloads it'll change to that directory.

Your home directory is where you store all you files, located in /home/yourusername /
IIRC correctly, it downloads where you are...
