I've typed up an informative how-to for Red Hat 9 users to keep their systems updated and assist in the installation of some nice enhancements. To find the information please follow this link: www.ahrenstorff.us/RH9-UMG.html

I am not sure what you mean by linking the site to the initial apt-get install. Do you download apt-get and load it on the machine and then link to it?
I would like to try this out, so any help would be appreciated.

Well, if I had done it properly, you could simply click the link on my website to download/install the "kickstart" file. However, Simply copy/past the line: rpm -Uhv http://atrpms.physik.fu-berlin.de/dist/rh9/atrpms-kickstart/atrpms-kickstart-9-2.i386.rpm
...into a terminal window. This will download and install the file in one shot. Then follow the directions...it should be clear from this point onward.
Happy "apt-get"ing! And I appreciate your feedback.

Rodd A, thanks for the help. It is downloading upgrades right now. In your instructions you had http://rpm-Uhv. I just removed the http:// and it worked right away.
Thanks again:D

Our company has just begun migrating to RH9PRO. This was very helpful for us all...

odd. I tried to apt-get to get Mozilla 1.4, and it said:
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
mozilla is already the newest version.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 removed and 0 not upgraded.
Mozilla is still 1.2.1

yeah, I would be interested in knowing where those downloaded files go to...

Will removing them hurt anything ?
Please post...
