Hey, guys-

I'm trying to use my Linksys Wireless USB adapter, following the instructions in this: http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=95102

My system is woody Debian, running the 2.4.20 kernel.

I've downloaded the all the files, and installed everything. I get to the point where I modprobe the Prism usb modules, and that completes successfully. However, on the next step, where I'm supposed to type "wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable", it tells me that there is no such device. Checking ifconfig also doesn't show a device called wlan0. Once I've gotten everything installed, how do I get the wireless device to show up as wlan0? The instructions seem to imply that the device is created automatically, but I haven't been able to get it to work... HELP!

Thanks much,
Drew
