Hello,
I've got this problem, I've got a network with two computers with static ips of 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2, the first having win2k with internet sharing turned on. The second dual boots RedHat with Debian. Redhat can access the internet no problem through the gateway. Debian can't. I can ping the gateway from debian no problem and it appears I can ping machines that are on the internet. The problem then appears to be that Debian can't resolve the sites. I have not set up any DNS. I've tried copying what Redhat has in the routing tables by typing route as root ( he he that's weird:D ) and setting that up in Debian but to no avail.
After all that my question is what has Redhat probably done automatically which Debian has not and how can I copy it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
