Is there something like Windows' Network Neighborhood in RH8.0? If so, is it available on X, Gnome, and KDE. Also, where is it located?
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks, Steve saithan 06-07-2003, 06:12 PM the quick and dirty way is: if you use nautilus: in the Location: slot type "smb:" your windows shares will show in konquoror ithelps to know the name of the windows machine you want to contact. inthe location type: smb://machine_name konquoror will then show the available shares on that machine. their are also many ways to mount the share and map it to a mounting point on the filesystem by using smbmount. do a search on this forum for smbmount and there are many discussions on it. justlinux.com
