Voodoo 3 TV Out?

I would like to know if it's possible to use the TV out of a Voodoo 3 card. From the information that I have found, it seems that it isn't possible. A source that I found mentioned that TV out is only supported on nVidia cards and the Matrox G400 under Linux, but the same page also talks about the "upcoming KDE 2.2", so I don't think it's too up to date. Does anyone know if it's worth me getting the cable and trying this or am I just wasting my time?
