shaded Eterm

hey, im trying to do the equivalent of

aterm -sh 40 -tr

with Eterm. so far i have tried:

Eterm -tint #8c8c8c --trans
and
Eterm -tint grey --trans

i just get a transparent Eterm with no shading. if anyone has any ideas (other than man Eterm) it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Eterm -O --shade 40
