I've done some searches on this but have unable to get this to work. I want to enable translucency on my kicker in KDE, running Red Hat 9 (I am not sure which version of KDE it is, but it is the one that came with my ISOs for RH9).

I can't seem to find the setting though. I have Keramik selected as my style and was able to get menu translucency working, but nothing for the kicker. I looked everywhere in the Control Center and found nothing.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Dave

How did you get your Kmenu to go transparent? Can you link me to a How-to?

thanks,

This is how I did it:

1) Go to Control Center
2) Click on "Appearance and Themes"
3) Click on "Style"
4) Check "Enable GUI Effects"
5) Beside "Menu effect," use the pull-down menu and select "Make translucent."

Now below all that on the same screen there are some settings for "Menu translucency type." Pick any one of those, and then adjust the slider bar for the menu opacity as much as you like until you get it to look the way you like.

Hope this helps. Somebody might add something; I just found this by messing around with all the settings. :)
