Hi ppl,
I just installed Slack9.0 on a AMD K6-450 and can't believe how slow KDE and Gnome run, especially KDE...in the menu you have to wait for the highlighted line to catch up with the mouse pointer.
Anyway i have been messing around with WindowMaker and i have to say that it's a nice...it's fast and responsive, it's also good for me because i'm not one for fancy graphics and animated images etc. I do have some questions regarding it though.
Is it possible to resize the terminal, i have tried all the menus and there is no resize option. Even when i start up AbiWord from the command line it opens a certain size and i can't adjust it, unless i maximize it fully. Also do i have to dial up manually, ie pppsetup, or is there a little programs than i can do it with, like in kde? How can i change the terminal to white on black rather than black on white?
And finally is there any other window managers out there that are just as nice as WindowMaker?
Thanks for taking the time to answer any of my questions.
Cheers..
