Hey guys, I'm running Enlightenment on a Red Hat 7 distribution.

I'm having trouble customizing my desktop.

So far, I've figured out how to customize the menu thing when you click on the desktop. However, I don't know how to make icons appear on the desktop. Also, there's a very annoying help cloud that pops up in front of me if I keep the cursor idle on the desktop for more than 5 seconds.

The icons aren't that important, but can someone please tell me how to eradicate that stupid help cloud thing?!

For configuration there is a proggy called E-Conf - dunno if that comes with redhat - u could probably download it otherwise.

If u aren't able to get that - I would recommend another tool called e16keyedit which lets u assign shortcut keys to open apps and do other stuff. I use it all the time.

Enlightenment 16.5 is only a window manager - so it doesn't provide a way of putting icons on the desktop - mebbe there is some other program for that....

Anyway, Enlightenment ROCKS!! Its fast to start, but still looks COOL!! Waitin for Enlightenment 17 (E17) when it is going to become a Desktop Environment (yay) !!

hope that helps,
