Hi! Does anyone know of an FTP client for KDE? I know there are a lot of K* apps. Just wondering. If not, is there a program anyone would recommend? I've used and liked gFTP. If all else fails, I'll use that.

MxCl 05-22-2003, 02:29 PM Just use konqueror! type in ftp://ftp.foo.bar/dir1/dir2 and browse away! You know you can also do this in save/open dialogs too? Very useful sometimes. ftp://username@foo.bar/ works too. nko 05-23-2003, 01:38 PM I forgot, Knqueror can do *anything*! Now, why isn't it more tightly integrated in to KDE for faster load times, like Explorer? Not that Explorer's a wonderful piece of software, but it does load instantly. nouse66 05-23-2003, 02:02 PM konqueror seems to load really fast when i'm in kde. when i'm in fluxbox, however, thats another story. nko 05-23-2003, 05:23 PM On my P-II, Explorer used to load as fast as a window could be drawn on the screen. Konqueror takes about 7 seconds. It isn't bad, but still... Ludootje 05-25-2003, 12:54 PM I'm not sure, but I think this is something they want to do in an upcoming KDE version. btw if you want KDE apps, always look on apps.kde.com and freshmeat.net. justlinux.com
