mplayerxp problems

hi guys

ive compiled mplayerxp in my box it runs but now i need to install the codecs for avi's and such.

where do i put the codecs or do i have to create directorys to place the codecs?

depends on how they come packaged. If they are rpms, then they should install where they belong. If, because you're compiling the player, they are tar files, install them where you'd like. Usually, the compiling and installation steps will take care of where they belong, but when you unpack them, look for a README or other documentation file, then follow those instructions.
