Followed a simple howto on the net. bnutting 05-13-2003, 01:21 PM I own the retail windows version and followed the on-line howto. The one thing I HAD to do was update my Matrox G450 video drivers. Otherwise it would freeze. Icarus 05-13-2003, 01:29 PM I was playing it online last night using Gentoo...It is soooo much fun roasting Nazi's with a flamethrower :D The punkbuster needs to be updated seperatly or you will get kicked from any games that have it turned on (99% of the good servers). You can get a web update you can manually run from the punkbuster site. http://punkbuster.com/index.php follow the instructions and you'll be fraging online in no time (this also includes Quake3...same game update broke PB on both games) mo699898 05-13-2003, 07:17 PM allright i installed the patch and copied the files, but when i run it none of the text shows up and when i quit it crashes my computer. jhoegl 05-15-2003, 05:03 PM update your graphics card drivers. by default the OS installs generic, non-3d graphical type stuff. justlinux.com
