I installed Slackware 9.0 the other day, and i already hate GNOME/GTK 2.2... it's unstable, has no decent themes, is dumbed down... anyway, i hate it.
So, i was going to reinstall Slackware with no GUI except for bare X, and installed GTK 1.2 and gnome 1.4 myself. I can find GTK, but where the heck is GNOME? I searched ftp.gnome.org, and they only seem to have 2.x. I want source tarballs by the way, not packages. Anyone know where to get them?

Nevermind, found it. I was looking in the sources directory, logical place, right? Well it seems that's their equivilent of a current directory, and the sources for 1.4 were in GNOME/desktop (a place i thought i was more likely to find binaries)

<feels stupid>
