cheap internet/email/children's computer, slow but works fine
Celeron 333 Mhz CPU
Lucky Star 6LX motherboard (the IDE onboard doesn't work, which is the reason this is a SCSI system, don't know if the onboard floppy controller works or not, but in Windows it shows as a splat in the Device Manager)
256MB RAM - 2 128MB PC133 CL3 sticks, both micron chips
AT hacked case, 145W power supply, it was converted for an ATX motherboard i think, part of the back is missing where an ATX backplane would go
some of the 5.25" bay covers are not the exact same shade of beige. false floppy cover. the outside/front is ok for an old case, no major flaws (excluding the back section i already mentioned)
the 3.5" drive cage was removed to accomodate ATX mobo
Seagate 4.5 Gb UW SCSI hard drive model ST34573W
Matsu****a 8X Cdrom drive , dark gray face plate, doesn't match case
no floppy drive
no keyboard (this motherboard has an AT style keyboard connector, but i am including an AT-> PS/2 converter, all testing was done with PS/2 keyboards using this converter)
ps/2 mouse only if you remind me
ATI AGP 3D Rage Pro video card, 4MB (has a slot for an additional 4MB)
Tekram DC-390F UW SCSI PCI controller
Sound Blaster 32AWE ISA sound card (with 512Kb of RAM added, i don't how this helps, but i had a couple of 30 pin sticks lying about and they fit/work on it)
3Com 3C509 ISA Network card
$99 shipped FedEx ground or will trade for nearly anything of reasonable value (like a 512MB DDR PC2700)
this system will run linux, but the ISA cards (NIC/Sound) may not be detected without some prompting, if you aren't familiar with getting ISA stuff to work, i can remove these and put in PCI cards for an extra $10.
tested with Windows XP (not included), it is slow but works for basic uses.
all these components should work with Win98SE,
you will just have to do some driver hunting (ATI/Creative web site's are pretty easy to find old drivers on).
i have an evaluation (120-day) version of Windows 2000 Pro currently installed.
