VPN Client software for linux

We have netscreen firewalls. Of course all of the remote VPN software is windows. Has anyone every used a VPN client for linux to connect to netscreen. Or does anyone know of a good vpn client for linux-hopefully free.

the most commonly used ipsec client is freeswan (http://www.freeswan.org), and I hear that cisco makes a linux client for their vpn devices, although I've never actually seen or used it.
