Hi all,
I just purchased RedHat 9 and am in the process of setting up a ftp server.
I have vsftpd insalled and running. The problem is that when a user logs in, he cannot see any folders or files. He can make directory and upload, but he cant even see what he made. I have checked permissions and everything.
Note: if you access the ftp server with Internet Explorer, it works. It seems the problem lies with ftp clients such as FlashFxp, they cant see anything.
A friend of mine has a app he can run in the background of his windows machine that lets him see linux machines and when he runs it, everything is great.
I am sure I am overlooking somethiing simple, any help is greatly appreciated.
And yes , I have SAMBA running and the other boxes on my home network can view the files and folders just fine.
Regards and many thanks.
